INSTRUCTION TO CONTRIBUTORS

"Proceedings of The Zoological Society of India" is a biannual (June and December) journal published by the Zoological Society of India. It serves as a medium for the publication of original research on various disciplines of Zoology, Wildlife, and Environment.

Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted to any one of the Managing Editors c/o. The President, Zoological Society of India, Hill View Compound, Rampur, Gaya-823001.

Each contributor of the paper should be a bonafide member of the Zoological Society of India and will be entitled to receive a copy of each issue of the journal free of cost.

Guidelines for Preparation of Manuscript

  1. Authors are requested to submit two copies (Hard copy) of their manuscript (8 - 10 pages) typed in double space on one side of the paper with sufficient margin on all sides, along with a C.D. or submit via email.
  2. Manuscript should be arranged as:
    • TITLE
    • AUTHOR'S NAME and ADDRESS
    • ABSTRACT (Within 200 words)
    • Key words (in italics)
    • INTRODUCTION
    • MATERIALS AND METHODS
    • RESULTS / OBSERVATIONS
    • DISCUSSION
    • ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (if any)
    • REFERENCES (listed alphabetically at the end of the paper and chronologically in case more than one reference of the same author is listed).

    Example:

    Niazi, LA and C. S. Ratnaswamy, 1984. Regeneration of whole limbs in the tadpole treated with retinol after wound healing stage. J. Exp. Zool. 230:501-505.

    Wetzel, R.G. 1975, Limnology, W.B. Saunders Co. Philadelphia. 1-323.

  3. Paper submitted for publication in the journal of the Zoological Society of India must not be submitted to any other journal. The opinions expressed by the authors are their own, and Editors do not own any responsibility on this account.
  4. Authors are not provided with free complimentary reprints. On receipt of information about the acceptance of the paper, they are requested to order for 25 reprints along with a bank draft (of any Nationalised bank) in favor of "Zoological Society of India" payable at Gaya.
  5. The editors do not accept responsibility for any type of damage or loss of manuscript during transit and for any unavoidable circumstances. So please keep one copy for your records.
  6. The statements, opinions, and views expressed by the authors in articles are their own and not of the Journal "Proceedings of The Zoological Society of India". The editors or publishers of the Journal will not be responsible for the authenticity of data and results drawn by the authors.

Jurisdiction

It is also to be noted that if any dispute arises regarding the Journal, the matter would be decided and entertained by the Hon'ble District Judge Court of GAYA (Bihar) only.
